We have a place for you in our Christian family at Cornerstone Baptist
Church. At times we all feel isolated in this growing world. It is
comforting to know that we have a family to count on. At Cornerstone we
are a family that comes from different walks of life, but we are all united
by a common thread. We enjoy sharing fellowship as a loving people centered
around the Lordship of Jesus Christ. You can laugh, cry, and grow with
our family. We welcome you and all of your family into our family group.
Our family is excited about what God is doing in our day, and in
our community. Our time together is a joy and we look forward each week
to being together. It is truly great to see the blessings God is providing
for His people. Bring your family, whether a family of one, or of many,
and come pray, worship, and fellowship with us.
Cornerstone offers several opportunities for you and your family
to join us in ministry and service. We would love for you to come and be
a part of our family. The following are just a few of the activities
at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Music
Our people value the role of music in worship and community. In each
worship experience we provide both congregational singing and additional
special music. Our church choir is open to members who want to serve
the Lord through music.. If you have special music talents we will
be open to allowing you to use them.
Children and Preschool
At Cornerstone we offer several opportunities for children to have
fun and to grow. Bed-babies and toddlers are provided for during Bible
Study and Worship times by trained staff that looks out for their safety.
Older children learn and have fun in our fully graded Bible study programs
on Sundays and other planned activities. CIA is a program for children
grades one through six on Wednesday evenings. Mission Friends is
provided for Preschoolers on Wednesday.
Happy Hearts
The seniors at Cornerstone are very active. They meet regularly to
have Bible Studies and to fellowship with each other. The ladies meet once
a month to make teddy bears for cancer patients. This is a wonderful way
to feel connected and enjoy time with other Christian seniors. Our
seniors enjoy periodic trips during the week.
Missions
We regularly support missions around the world and teach about the
work and needs of Missionaries in all areas. We strive to be involved in
mission activities. One of our mission programs is a Bible Club in
a manufactured home park each Thursday at 5:00 pm. We also have periodic
ministry for Adults who live in home for the developmentally handicap.
We try to minister to anyone in our community with needs not met by other
programs.
Cornerstone Youth
The purpose of Cornerstones youth group is to foster Christian growth
through weekly Bible study and times of fellowship. Each Sunday evening
at 6:00 the youth meet for Bible study to see how God's word relates to
their lives today. Also there are periodic times for fellowship,
like bowling or put-put golf.
Other activities the Cornerstone youth group are involved with include
summer camp, VBS, Youth Evangelism Conference (YEC), Backyard Bible Clubs,
and other associational youth meetings and events.
Jeremiah 1:7, 8 But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a
child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command
you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,"
declares the Lord.
